We've added a new attribute to UPS Access Points. This is a boolean attribute that indicates whether a pickup location is a locker or a staffed access point. You can now use this attribute in the Filters section to reliably exclude all locker locations from being shown to your customers. This is especially useful for merchants shipping larger parcels that don't fit in locker compartments.

We've significantly improved the reliability of the pickup point selection process. The attribute will no longer be added to orders. Additionally, checkout blocking is now stricter, making it no longer possible to bypass placing an order without selecting a pickup point.

We are deprecating the shop metafield.

Although this metafield was never officially documented, some custom integrations may rely on it.

If you currently use it, please migrate to the metafield in the namespace.

This new metafield is also not part of our public API and remains unsupported, meaning its structure may change without notice. We recommend avoiding long-term dependencies where possible.

The original metafield will be removed on 23 Feb 2026.

We're rolling out metafield definition for order starting today. Initially, validation will be minimal, but we'll gradually introduce stricter rules to match our specification. If you're using third-party integrations that write to this metafield, ensure the data format is valid to avoid potential disruptions.

Fixed a visual regression in the map pickup point selection caused by an unannounced change on Shopify's side.

Fixed an issue where some filtering conditions were case-sensitive, causing pickup points to be incorrectly excluded. Filtering is now case-insensitive as expected.

The pickup point selection in Shopify Admin now lets you filter pickup points by shipping method. This prevents accidentally choosing a pickup point from the wrong carrier and makes it easier to find the right location when multiple carriers are configured.
